- My client is looking to recruit an HR Advisor, who is a well organised, highly motivated, committed individual who possesses excellent administration skills to join their busy team.
Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Advisor will be someone that loves being an HR generalist, has commercial acumen, experience in a fast-moving, multi-site environment and is recognised as someone who can help in varying people related situations.
The position will be based in the West Midlands however, you will provide national coverage, this will include regular travel/overnight stays to support major contracts based in London and Scotland.
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months, however, may go permanent for the right candidate.
The Job:
- Resolving HR queries and requests for information from both managers and employees.
- Work as part of the local and wider management team delivering an efficient and effective HR service.
- Champion the culture of service delivery to the business focusing on commercial solutions, fair decision making and enabling the businesses to operate effectively.
- Provide full administrative support and advice in the facilitation of disciplinary and grievance investigation and hearings, including attendance and occasional minute taking.
- Provide HR advice and administrative support for ad hoc projects ie: TUPE, re-organisations processes.
- Support and co-ordinate recruitment and training
- Work with the central Technical Administration Team to ensure that the business is fully compliant.
- Implement “best practice” policies.
- Worked in the infrastructure services/construction/support services/utility industry or similar for a multi-site, site-based business.
- Proven track record of delivering excellent HR customer service with pace, accuracy, and acumen.
- Commercially biased – able to see where HR can add value to the business.
- Experienced in managing varied case work.
- Proven track record of developing effective working relationships internally and externally.
- Excellent IT/letter writing/communication skills.
- Has boundless enthusiasm, dynamism, and a sense of humour.
- Is organised and a completer finisher.
- Loves people and HR.
- Able to work flexibly across a nationwide business, requiring some travel and overnight stays.
- CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) qualified
- The successful candidate must have a ‘can do’ attitude, be accurate and have good attention to detail
