- FJA are working alongside a National Utilities Contractor who are looking to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager M&E.
Job Role
The role of Contracts Manager will work from their central office but may need to travel and stay throughout the UK, as required.
The role will report to the overall Frameworks Manager but will have a clear service delivery responsibility to the Frameworks Director of M&E.
Role and responsibilities
- Responsible for the day to day running of our facility delivering M&E projects in the North West Region including United Utilities.
- Completing performance development reviews of staff
- Driving growth from the branch
- Responsible for the Water Fabrication Framework
- Work with the Project, Commercial, Design, & Operations team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Project Managers / Engineers / Operational Managers under your control
- Promote behaviours to influence best performance & CDM compliance.
- Ensure internal governance and processes are followed.
- Responsible for proactive management of health & safety, Site Inspection targets, and liaison with clients and suppliers
- Responsible for P&L and forecast
- Reviewing subcontractor approvals and performance
- Training and career development opportunities
- Participate in client initiatives, be responsible for achieving KPI’s and increased Health & Safety performance
- Develop business opportunities and growth within and outside of our current client base.
About the Successful Candidate
- Be well organised, have excellent customer skills and be IT literate in MS Office packages including MS Project.
- Hold appropriate qualifications in engineering and be able to display a sound understanding of relevant Legislation, CDM Regulations & duties, and NEC Contracts.
- Have management experience and a technical understanding of the M&E requirements in the Water Industry (Desirable)
- Be a ‘can do’ proactive person with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Require a full driving licence and there will be an element of working away with the role as and when required.
- Deliver schemes as required in other areas that fall under the Frameworks Directors responsibility
