FJA are working with a national leader in specialist cleaning and waste management services, who have over 15 years’ experience in the sector. We are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their expanding business.

The Business Development Manager will ideally possess experience within Cleaning and Waste sectors – experience in logistics, retail and leisure would be advantageous. Service based sales is a must.
The role is hands-on with the requirement for site visits, cold calling and B2B interface. As a recognised brand in their industry, they are keen to ensure their reputation for quality, delivery and service.
•Sourcing new clients and developing new business opportunities for our core busines with target organisations
•Working collaboratively with the Strategic Sales Director to make sure you are targeting identified sectors and customers as part of the wider sales strategy
•Managing new clients to grow, upsell and renew contractual arrangements in the future
•Building a strong, in-depth product knowledge and company systems
•Achieving monthly targets
•Set and monitor progress towards the achievement of objectives and targets.
•Constantly monitor, record and review competitor activity and report in a way to allow best use of this information.
•Creating quotes based on client requirements
•Produce monthly sales activity reports including revenue and gross margin projections
•Provide full visibility of the sales pipeline highlighting conversion probabilities
•Monthly reporting on sales performance against budget and reporting on variance
•B2B sales experience – working in highly reactive commercial environment
•Strong negotiating and influencing skills with clients at all levels
•A proven track record of consistently achieving targets
•Strong commercial awareness around pricing to deliver the required gross/net margins
•A strong sense of how best to exploit company branding to maximum effect in the market
•An excellent networker with high level interpersonal skills
•Ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of management and staff
•Good industry knowledge in the Cleaning and Waste sectors – experience in logistics, retail and leisure would be advantageous
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a new sales environment
•Qualified to degree level and/or equivalent industry recognition(s)
•Membership of trade bodies relevant to this industry sector
