Quantity Surveyor - Water

​Leading the field in the Wastewater Industry this national contractor has seen its presence in the North West increase. Having secured a number of high profile and technically challenging projects, they have continued to expand and develop their long standing client relationships. In order to maintain this growth, there is a series need to increase the already successful commercial and quantity surveying team. Being well know for the team work and financial rewards, the successful applicant can expect ongoing training in a rewarding environment.

This is a key appointment for the business, and you will work closely with Project Managers and Clients.

Your primary role is to:

•Own, appraise & strengthen costing templates to win jobs and maximise margins
•Prepare and analyse costs for enquiries, tenders & contracts
•Advise on a range of legal & contractual issues
•Financially appraise new product solutions against the existing portfolio
•Conduct competitor cost appraisals
•Appraise completed projects, to identify & implement improvements

What kind of person are we looking for?

•QS Degree/HNC or equivalent
•Customer orientated and able to establish & maintain client relationships
•Able to work independently using one’s initiative whilst supporting the wider team
•Commercially astute, able to see opportunities for improving efficiencies & margins
•Organised, structured, able to prioritise and respond with urgency to changing demands
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Numerical, detail & accuracy oriented
