- FJA are working with a leading Utilities provider who are recruiting for a Compliance Coordinator.
As a Compliance Coordinator, you will use your expertise whilst working on your own, and as part of a team reducing risk by providing assurance. This will be attained by taking a lead role in monitoring and ensuring compliance to our IMS quality system designed to keep people safe, ensure quality and to reduce our business risk and environmental impact.
The role will be predominantly office based but will require visits to site to undertake safety process audits with the field teams.
You will be responsible for H&S on the Leakage Field Services contract, with Welsh Water, by working closely with the contract team and the Central Services function. This will ensure compliance against business targets, contract key performance indicators, progress against safety initiatives. This will include responsibility for the management of our behavioural safety process BEST, which helps to identify trends, and implement actions that would help us ensure safety of our people.
You will be key to the company’s engagement strategy with all contract employees, including leading a Health and Safety Champions forum, compiling a monthly newsletter, and administering the health and safety suggestion scheme. You will be required to attend with the Regional Manager, or identified attendee on his behalf, the quarterly Operational Partners Best Practise Meeting and prepare for the annual application for the annual Health Safety and Wellbeing Award and the monthly RPS IMS Coordinators meeting.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure the contract compliance of the Integrated Management System (IMS) to ensure readiness for annual audit.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in preparation and presentation of contract specific performance information.
- Define and implement procedures for record retention, either electronically or manually.
- Record Health and Safety incident information onto the client’s corporate system Assure.
- Produce the monthly behavioural safety newsletter.
- Identify regular Health Initiatives in line with the contract H&S Roadmap.
- Lead the H&S Champions Meetings to support field team engagement
- Support transition to new system process / procedure changes.
- Participate in the the clients Supply Chain Best Practice forum with the Framework Manager
- Manage the Health and Safety Suggestion Schemes.
- Identify Health and Safety Innovation and pursue award accreditation at the clients annual Health Safety and Wellbeing awards.
- Minimum IOSH managing Safely desirable
- New Roads and Street works Act (NRSWA) Unit 10 Supervising of Street works activities Desirable.
- Commitment to working safely with excellent health and safety awareness
- The desire to want to collaborate and work in a team orientated environment
- Experience of working with a quality management system and MS Office 360 and associated packages
- Full UK driving licence essential
