Blue Monday – Beat the Monday Blues!!
Today is supposed to be the most rubbish day in the calendar, but let’s face it, who likes a Monday anyway?

Blue Monday means a January down day, due to the weather, the Christmas/Festive fun is now a distant memory, and you are back at work!!

Finlay Jude have decided that this day doesn’t have to be Blue, after all the stresses of the pandemic for the last two years, we have come up with some mood boosting tips and positivity, not just for today, but to take with you for any day of the week:
  • Get some fresh air and sunshine
Go for a walk at lunchtime and get some Vitamin D
  • Exercise.
Moving your body releases endorphins, whether it’s a brisk walk, jog, or a gym class, moving for 30 minutes a day is proven to boost your mood.
  • Eat Well
Eating a healthy balanced diet is not only good for you and your health, but is also proven to make you feel better
  • Get enough sleep
Getting a good night’s sleep can make you feel refreshed and ready to take on the day ahead
  • Stop scrolling
Excessive scrolling is not good for your mental health, instead of spending time on Facebook and Instagram, pick up a book or watch some TV, both stimulate your imagination making you feel more fulfilled.
  • Start a new job search
If it is your job that may be getting you down, use Blue Monday as the day to finally turn it around. Refresh your CV and kick start your Job Search, change Blue Monday into the day you found your dream job.
