International Men's Day
The aim of International Men’s Day is to celebrate men and their contributions to society, community, and their families.

International Men’s Day was introduced in 1999 by Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh, Professor of History, University of the West Indies in Trinidad, and Tobago. This date was chosen to commemorate his father’s birthday. He further encouraged everyone to use this day to bring up issues that concern men and boys.
It is a day to reflect on our positive male role models and our working-class heroes in day-to-day life!!

The aim of International Men’s Day is to also highlight men’s health, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing.

This day is dedicated to speaking up about men’s wellbeing and health, their struggles, and the conditions they are expected to live up to in society. It is also the day they are encouraged to speak out about any discriminations they feel they have faced, and better gender relations are promised to be created.

Let us spread love and not promote ‘the way men are’. Let us be good human beings and not get swayed by the pressures of society.

The aim of this day is to promote awareness of men and their humanitarian values.
"A great man is a torch in the darkness, a beacon in superstition's night, an inspiration and a prophecy." - Robert Green Ingersoll.

Here at Finlay Jude, we celebrate all our male staff we have in our own office and out on site, all working hard each day to provide for themselves and their families. We celebrate all the dads, Grandads, Uncles, brothers, Husbands, boyfriends, and friends – Happy International Men’s Day!!

Which male role models will you be celebrating this International Men’s Day?
