International No Diet Day!

International No Diet Day!
Did you know that May 6 is International No Diet Day? This day is dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle and raising awareness about the mental and emotional destructiveness of diets.

International No Diet Day (INDD) was created by feminist Mary Evans Young, director of the British “Diet Breakers” in 1992. Sounds like a fabulous rock band doesn’t it!

The group was formed to combat the craziness of dieting and unbalanced eating and to encourage a sane approach to food consumption.

Most of us have a tendency to focus on the things we dislike instead of focusing on what we do like about our bodies. Today is the perfect time for you to change this!

Here are some of the suggestions that we have to help you make the most of this day.

  • Eat what you love!
  • Don’t worry about the calories.
  • Throw away your scales.
  • Be adventurous and cook something fabulous.

It’s all about having a healthy mind and healthy attitude like our Meter Readers who walk for miles every day, which they are happy to do.

Maybe now is the perfect time to start focusing on a new job? Meter Reading is the perfect role to get your exercise ticked off every day.

Within our Clean Water and Utilities sectors, we have plenty of jobs ie: Meter Readers and Leakage Technicians. This type of role will help with fitness as it requires physical activities including walking, to help with keeping fit and healthy.

Here at Finlay Jude Associates Ltd we have celebrated by eating cake. However, we eat cake every Friday, so this week is a double treat.
