Description
FJA are looking to recruit a Commissioning Engineer to strengthen their Construction team within the Southern Water Framework.

Commissioning Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that commissioning activities are carried out safely and in compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Assess, review and monitor Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation related project risks.
  • Participate in safety inductions and toolbox talks
  • Collaborate with design teams to integrate commissioning requirements into the design phase
  • Review design documents such as process flow diagrams, equipment specifications, instrumentation diagrams, and control system layouts
  • Develop commissioning plans that address the specific requirements
  • Oversee and sign off Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
  • Contribute to the development of commissioning schedules and participate in meetings to track progress and address commissioning-related issues
  • Compile documentation such as test reports, equipment manuals, and record drawings
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to track progress of projects and to discuss any issues
  • Support the development of training materials and manuals and participate in training sessions
  • Ensure timely distribution of commissioning logs, daily diaries, project updates and other relevant information from Engineers to stakeholders involved in the projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of take over reports and liaise with complete scheme delivery team.
The successful Commissioning Engineer must have:
  • Proven Electrical commissioning experience
  • Extensive site and practical experience of water & or water recycling operations and processes
  • A valid clean UK driving license
