Field Technician/Van Driver

FJA are partnering with a leading water utilities company to recruit a Data Logging Technician who will be based in your area.

This role is working days - 40 hours per week

Noise Loggers (small metal listening devices) are devices that are used within the water industry to capture constant leakage noise.   Loggers are deployed on to fire hydrants and retrieved 24 hours later, the data is then downloaded to see what results have been captured and the process repeated. The loggers aim is between optical times of 2.00 - 4.00 am and the noise is given in Decibels

As a Data Logging Technician, you will be required to download and export the data from the devices

The Data Logging Technician will possess the following skills / knowledge:

• A wide range of data inputting
• Knowledge of how to Report and Export Data
• T. Competent
• Confidence to work on their own
• Flexible time pattern
• Full UK Driving License

Duties Include:

• Map reading and Assets Identification
• Co-ordination of weekly activities
• Accessing water fittings such as Fire Hydrants and Valves to install / maintain recording equipment.

This role would suit candidates with the following:

• Graduates
• Ex-Forces
• Drivers / Driving (Multi Drop, Meter Readers, Delivery Drivers)
• People with a manual working/outdoor background

You will be put through the following training:

• EUSR Water Hygiene Training
• Unit 2 Street Works

You are required to drive for the role and must hold a full and valid driving licence. A van, fuel and PPE will all be provided
