Business Development Manager

FJA are looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager working within the water industry based within the Manchester area.
 
Your role as a Business Development Manager will involve you supporting areas of business growth across the UK and Ireland within the water utilities and asset infrastructure sector.
 
Your duties as a Business Development Manager will include:

• Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Asset Survey & Inspection you will work closely with Contract Managers and Business Development colleagues to support incremental and step-change growth activities
• Leading and playing a key support, to bid projects along with other procurement and business initiatives to ensure growth and continuous improvement
• Focusing projects will include taking the lead in growth plans for our expert asset survey capability for utilities, highways, rail and buildings
• Seeking out new clients and sectors for current and new service provision, whilst at the same time ensuring that the businesses Asset Surveying and Inspection capability is truly meeting the expectations of the digital age in a complex and evolving world

 
The successful Business Development Manager candidate should have:

• Experience and success in business development and client relationship management roles are essential
• Experience in supporting the growth of a services business, with an understanding of developing and executing sector/national growth plans through long term client relationships
• The ability to solve problems and support change through co-operation, influence, strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
• A strong commercial acumen and understanding of commercial drivers
• Business development and contract bid expertise within the utilities or related sector
