Description
Finlay Jude Associates are working with a leading service provider who specialise in the Water ,Wastewater and Environmental industry. This successful and growing company are now looking  for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor.

This challenging and varied Mechanical Supervisor role offers the successful candidate an excellent opportunity for career development within an expanding and successful business. Previous experience within the water industry would be an advantage for this role
 
Main responsibilities include
 
  • Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of mechanical engineers, ensuring the successful delivery of all projects on time and within agreed budgets.
  • You will be expected to take responsibility for efficient planning and utilisation of the resource available.
  • Maintenance of high standards of quality, health and safety.
  • Liaison with clients as required.
  • The role will require flexible working hours, business travel and participation in a standby rota.
  • As part of the role, you will also be expected to work alongside the mechanical engineers as and when required.
 
Key skills
 
  • Ideally be qualified to at least a City & Guilds Part 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent NVQ Level 3.
  • You will also ideally have completed a mechanical engineering apprenticeship and have proven experience in a similar role in water or associated industries.
  • It is essential that the candidate has experience of Screens and Screens Handling Equipment, such as screw compactors and conveyors, Inlet Screens, Network & CSO Screens.
  • The successful candidate will need previous Mechanical Supervisory experience, including planning and organisation of resources and budget control.
  • A driving licence is required for this role.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office programmes would be beneficial.
