Mechanical Fitter

Finlay Jude Associates are working with a leading service provider who specialise in the Water ,Wastewater and Environmental industry. This successful and growing company are now looking  for an experienced Mechanical Fitter.

Main responsibilities include
 

• Responsible for maintenance of water related pumping plant and ancillary equipment that have been installed to check their performance and safety and evaluate whether they meet compliance standards.
• You will be responsible for the Installation , removal and maintenance of access platforms, gantries, mechanical apparatus.
• This will also include water related pumping plant, pipework and associated control equipment.

• The role will require flexible working hours, business travel and participation in a standby rota

 
Key skills

• You will have experience of working within the water industry
• Ideally be qualified with Confined space certification and ideally have City and Guilds Mechanical Installation or Maintenance qualification or completed a mechanical engineering apprenticeship and have at least 2 years experience, ideally in the water or associated industries.
• The ideal candidate shall have experience of Screens and Screens Handling Equipment, such as screw compactors and conveyors, Inlet Screens, Network & CSO Screens.
• The candidate will be trustworthy and be able to work on your own initiative and have the ability to prioritise a varied workload and demonstrate good time management to comply with deadlines.
• A full driving licence is required for this role.
